Jerri: No pun intended, but to set things straight, Jerri is not a representation of the lesbian community! However, having been involved in the gay community for a few years I can attest to a some pretty unflattering lesbian stereotypes... the worst of these being embodied in Jerri.

 This representation (or "misrepresentation") came at an advantage to me. One of the other things I know about almost as well as I know about being gay is working in customer service, and there is no better term to describe such experience as "disgruntled". Working with customers, particularly in foods and services, would give anyone the bleakest outlook on mankind. I'm thrilled to use a character like Jerri as an outlet for my frustrations in that field.

 Q: What does "with a 'G'" mean?

 A: In case you missed it, Mattie enjoys mispelling Gerri's name - even out loud - because that's how much he loathes her!
