Skippy's parents

Skippy's parents: Due to the strip's focus of Skippy's current interpersonal relationships, I haven't (yet) focused on where Skippy comes from as much as I'd like to. Thus, we haven't seen a whole lot of Skippy's parents. I've never even officially given them names. I always love bringing them around though.

 Both Skippy's parents are still adjusting to their son's sexuality. They're accepting of it, but feel that they need to go out of their way to treat him differently for it. I think of their efforts as misguided gestures of love and tolerance. So far they've mostly appeared separately from each other, but I haven't decided yet if they're still married. My parents divorced when I was very young, so I'm used to dealing with Mom and Dad as two completely unattached entities.
